R&D Lab

In our R&D lab we analyse materials, develop prototypes and test new technologies before production. Here research and manufacturing work side by side, turning every experiment into an industrial application.

From thread to shoe.

With knit technology we develop three-dimensional structures that are light, breathable and free of unnecessary seams. We design every detail around the athlete's needs, through continuous prototyping, testing and optimisation.

Engineered textile

We develop technical apparel through continuous research and field validation. Every fabric answers specific needs of comfort, protection and performance, and is tested in real conditions before industrialisation.

Every technology starts from a concrete need: improving lightness, strength, comfort, precision and control. For us, innovating means turning research into measurable production solutions.

  1. Engineered 3D Knit

    A three-dimensional technical knit upper, built as a single element. Thousands of yarns interlaced with different geometries depending on the area of the foot, to combine lightness, comfort and precision.

  2. True Carbon Monocoque

    The Ducati Cycling frame comes from a single mould: front and rear triangles are built as one piece through lamination. A design choice that reduces joints and weak points and increases structural continuity.

  3. StormburstLT membrane, PFAS-free

    With eVent Fabrics, Alé developed a cycling jacket with a PFAS-free StormburstLT membrane. High breathability, protection from rain and light snow, extreme lightness: technical performance without persistent substances.

  4. Flax integrated into carbon

    Flax fibers are sandwiched between the carbon layers of the seatpost. Invisible to the naked eye, decisive on the field: they reduce low-frequency vibrations by 20%, with a negligible weight increase. We defined the coupling and lamination process that ensures repeatable results on an industrial scale.
